The week that was….

We’ve had a busy few weeks in grade 1. Students are loving our hands on Language Experiences, learning together about chemical reactions, learning about themselves, their feelings and emotions and growing new plants from seeds.

Students have been learning about fractions, cutting playdough, pizzas and fruit into equal parts to make a half, one quarter even one eighth. We are always focussing on learning how to read the analogue clock to the hour and half past. It would be great if you could practise this at home too.

With the warmer weather coming some mornings, it meant grades can take their fluency buddy reading outside. Don’t forget to use the students log ins to read the decodables at home.
