Welcome to Grade 3

What a big first week of Grade 3! Mrs Humphries, Mrs Becker, Miss Nilsson, Miss K and Miss Abel were all so excited to meet their class and really enjoyed a fun filled week.

For our first blog post we just wanted to highlight some key information to help with a smooth transition to Grade 3.

Parent Helpers

If you are interested in volunteering to attend Grade 3 camp and excursions, you will need to make sure your Working with Children’s Check is in date and is linked it to Beaconsfield Primary School. Every year as a parent helper, you will need to redo the parent helper induction. Please speak to the office if you need any support with your Working with Children’s Check.

Reading

We encourage your child to be reading 5 nights per week. Students record their nightly reading in their black diary. On Fridays your child’s teacher will be checking their diary. Students who do not complete their reading will participate in learning minutes on a Friday prior to engaging in ‘awesome activities’.
